Our 84 year old mom was taken to this hospital by an ambulance due to her fall and she had some trouble communicating. She was admitted to the ICU burn unit where beds were available. It was recommended that she stayed overnight for further testing and that she would be sedated and given some oxygen. When my sister came to visit the next morning, she was a little surprised that our mom was on a ventilator. On the 3rd day, an MRI was done and it showed that our mom had a minor stroke. Due to being on a ventilator, she went into a coma and was not able to breathe on her own again, had my sister been informed of the risks, she may not have agreed to it.

In 2014, I quit smoking. 3 months after quitting, I started to have difficulty breathing and felt like I was breathing razor blades. I came here, and they got me right in and gave me a breathing treatment. The guy nurse was so nice. He was so kind and respectful. They had asked me multiple questions to find out how it started, and I had let them know I just quit smoking a few months prior. I didn't have insurance at the time, I was taking care of my grandparents there in Orange. The meds were around 300 dollars. When I got the bill for the hospital treatment, it was completely paid for. My experience here was amazing. It's been 10 years, and I never smoked again.

NOT RECOMMENDED. My mother had a knee replacement surgery a few years ago at this hospital. During her 3-day stay at the hospital, following the surgery, the nurses had to change the surgery site's bandages at least once a day. They were usually late and not responding. When they were responding, they brought a few students who were supposed to observe. During one of these observations, the nurse had to leave because they called her for something else. They left my mother's wound exposed for about 15 minutes. After they came back, they didn't even acknowledged that this shouldn't have happened. They quickly dressed it and left. My mother got a fever the next two days. They discharged her even though she was ill with fever. A few months later since the knee wasn't healing we went to get a second opinion. Turned out it was infected. Eventually, the knee had to be operated on to take out the hardware and she went through 4 more surgeries until a final hardware was put in place. After 4 years, the infection hasn't healed. It is now a chronic infection with a few multiple drug resistant germs. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU LIKE YOUR LIFE.

I was a patient of this hospital for a day. I had a medical procedure requiring me to stay a night at the hospital. The front desk check staff was friendly. My surgeon was amicable and explained my procedure in detail with a caution disclaimer at the end that if complications developed during the surgery he would have to stop and we would need to have additional discussion on next steps. My anesthesiologist was very inpatient and was almost annoyed that I had an allergy. Perhaps the hospital should tag a patient file more effectively to identify allergies so that the doctors are less annoyed. Nurse team varied from mediocre to just non existent. The only friendly nurse that I encountered was the nurse student that was there to observe. The other ones were too rough, absent or out to lunch. But the cake goes to the on call physician that was there to discharge. When asked if everything was Okay during my surgery and completed, he replied with: “ your surgery went over time, you had a lot of adhesions and you follow up with your doctor.” No interest, he did not check my incision, ask if I was feeling OK. Just blasé about everything. If you have health insurance go somewhere else & stay away. Not worth it and the level of care is compared to a discount store.
