My son and I had an exceptional experience at Choc Hospital, and I want to take a moment to commend the outstanding staff who made his stay so comfortable and reassuring. Caitlyn, our main RN, provided superb nursing care, demonstrating genuine compassion, professionalism, and attentiveness that truly made a positive impact on my son's recovery. Alondra, the assistant nurse who is soon to be an RN, was incredibly diligent in keeping the room spotless, creating a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment. Her friendly demeanor made us feel at ease. Guadalupe, another dedicated assistant nurse, was consistently attentive and kind, making sure we had everything we needed. Brad, our daytime RN, and Crystal, the charge RN, were both highly knowledgeable, caring, and responsive, ensuring we always felt well cared for. Shumi, the RN, was truly exceptional—her expertise, compassion, and calm approach were truly inspiring. Overall, the staff at Choc Hospital exemplify excellence in patient care, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication, kindness, and professionalism

The Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) - now Rady Children’s Health - beats out Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) IMO. I’ve been to both hospitals as a visitor but I was most impressed with my recent visit to CHOC.
They have a large campus and many buildings. Checking in as a visitor was easy: Simply provide your driver’s license and they will print out a badge for you to wear.
The hospital was clean and brightly lit. Lots of fun colors and they even have themed days for the patients (e.g., Star Wars Day, Stitch Day, etc.). The room amenities were plenty. But what always stands out with children’s hospitals are the caring and amazing staff. They go above and beyond to make sure the patient is comfortable.
It’s easy to put trust into CHOC’s care because I’ve seen how they have treated their patients. Despite the circumstances, this is a great place to take children to when needing urgent or emergency care.

This was my first every experience with CHOC ER and the nurse staff were super friendly and we were attended quickly with my sons respiratory needs. I
Will say the doctor in the ER did have a slight attitude in the very beginning and then changed her mood right away once she saw how much my son was struggling to breath but other than that everyone was super friendly and nice. We ended up being at admitted which did take awhile to get a room but we were okay in the ER room. Once admitted our night nurses were very nice and accommodating always asking if we needed anything and our respiratory nurses every single one were very very nice and sweet. We were able to order food for my son and overall everyone was very nice and informative during that scary time.

I'm leaving this review because as a first time in a hospital and with a child being a first time,and being First time Mom you can only imagine How it feels when you have a sick child.
From the moment I walked in into the emergency Room with my child in my arms With a fever of 102 and shaking and coughing, I was rapidly checked in. They didn't even take longer than five minutes. From beign tested and the Symptoms he had My son had catch RSV with rhinovirus and it wasn't doing him well. His respiratory system needed help with oxygen.
I was in good attention and later was transferred to the CHOC HOSPITAL Where he was attended since the moment I got there fast with caring. They told me the virus he had catch and Explained me well what it was and for me not to worry They knew what they were doing. My son was treated with care and comfort, toys, coloring books so he will be distracted. All The RN Nurses are really outstanding and the CA & RT guys. They explain me every time what was done. RN Allison is awesome she really was On Top of it and ask permission to my son when things were done so he didn't felt Scared.
I was there for two nights and half a day And I'm gonna say they make sure my stay was comfort with amenities for my child and for us. I have never stayed in the hospital But let me say that I'm glad I made the choice of taking him there And Now I know That he was in good hands with professionals. Thank you all and Thank you! CHOC HOSPITAL.

Great hospital! My daughter at 6 weeks got rsv and was hospitalized for 4 nights.
The first night was horrible because of the situation but once I figured out she was getting better the experience was like a hotel visit. The nurses were so, so nice! They took so good care of my daughter. They also took good care of my wife and I too. We were sleep deprived and staying the night at the hospital. The nurses would bring coffee and water and anything we needed for the baby.
I am horrible with names but here's a few names of the names I remember: Victoria, Shiela, Guadalupe.
The last night I was absolutely exhausted and my baby had a lot of energy. Guadalupe taught me an effective baby sleeping technique that knocked my baby out quickly. I still use it today. Guadalupe is also a secret ninja pretty much. She somehow weighed our baby and put her back to sleep without waking us up.
Also, my wife and I were nervous about doing sunctioning at home so we brought our sunction over and Victoria walked us through doing it right and effectively. Super helpful!
Finally, Shiela was great too. We were paranoid that our daughter was having symptoms and shiela was confident when we werent. I felt it and it made me feel a lot more confident coming home from the hospital.
In conclusion, staff were top notch! They were willing to do all the work for us as parents if we let them. They were so willing to be helpful and assist us with anything we needed. I am so grateful for them. So grateful!
