Love Vons! This was my first time at this particular location and it is a really nice, clean, well organized and well-stocked Vons! I wanted to take a star off because of the poor lighting in the parking lot, but I was too impressed with the store itself! Lol! But seriously, the parking lot lighting REALLY needs help!

About 10:30pm the self check was already closed. They claim they have nobody to watch it. Not true. The "courtesy clerk" (old school box boy/girl) could rotate between there and the cashier at the register. But they would rather gossip together then actually do their jobs. Lazy. And yes, when I was younger I was an courtesy clerk at Smart & Final and watched my managers be lazy, who were younger than me. The younger generation has no work ethic. Many times I've seen them hide and surf on their phone instead of running carts or doing go-backs. That's why I would rather do self check. I can check myself out better and faster than the so-called professionals.

Vons offers a wide variety of food and essentials, especially fresh produce and local items, which is a big plus. However, my experience with customer service has been inconsistent.
There have been multiple occasions where I’ve stood at the customer service desk and received no assistance, even when making eye contact with cashiers and baggers. On one instance, I noticed a gentleman, possibly a manager, who also made eye contact but did not offer help until I had waited far too long. Additionally, I observed a cashier and bagger engaging in a gossip conversation while ringing up a customer, barely acknowledging her beyond the transaction. Unfortunately, when it was my turn, the same lack of interaction continued, with minimal communication and no "thank you" afterward.
Another issue is the condition of the restrooms. They are outdated, often dirty, and poorly maintained, with issues such as graffiti, water accumulation, and non-functioning soap dispensers. In one restroom, the hand dryer has been broken for months. Given the location, I expect better hygiene and upkeep, as clean restrooms should be standard at any store.
While I’m not personally offended by the lack of interaction, I do believe good customer service is important, especially when competing with other grocery stores in the area. A simple greeting or acknowledgment would go a long way. Additionally, with high prices, I’d expect more attention to detail when it comes to customer service and store maintenance.
In short, I continue to shop here due to convenience, but the inconsistent service and poor restroom conditions make me hesitant to recommend this location without some improvement.
