This is my favorite Smart & Final. The staff is always friendly, and I want to especially give a shout out to Mitchell, who was my cashier on 3-5-25. I can tell he loves interacting with customers and he was patient with me as I had to make a quick transfer of money into my bank account when I spent a bit more than I had planned. He was upbeat and friendly with me and also with everyone he came in contact with. He didn't ask me to do a review -- I just felt like he deserves one. What a great representation of a company that we love! ❤️

I'm all the time in this store because is closer to me and I like one of the cashier Susana she is very friendly and I never had a bad experience but today omg . I'm doing separate transactions on the self checkout tre small in total. I pay for the first one and one of the ladies came to me and said oh you haven't pay for this frozen bag so I told her yeah I know I'm doing separate transactions and she was like oh ok and from there she just stayed behind me. So I pay for my water and another girl came and said oh you haven't paid for this frozen bag. So I told her I know I already told the other girl I'm doing separate transactions. So I pay for my frozen bag and I asked her here you can check my receipts so she was like oh no it's ok. I felt so uncomfortable because it's not the first time I go to this store. I buy 6 items 4 on the first transaction and one on the other two. I don't use to do this but I buy for someone else so I needed separate receipts.i know they were doing their job but the older lady is always the and if they want to make sure people don't steal the distance of the oldest lady is perfect to see if you're stealing something. I felt very embarrassed because they were just focusing on me. If something they can just ask for the receipt at the exit and check. I'm so annoyed don't know if going back to this store again.

It was around 9:45 a.m. and there were no cashiers to check you out, however there was a very nice woman who was helping people to self-checkout. I actually am paranoid about self-checkout, especially of all the stories I've heard of Walmart arresting customers if they didn't check out all the items correctly and missed one. It's just way too many stories not to make you wonder if there's some kind of weird scam going on with them.

Wow, this store is bigger than our store in Corona, California! We just went here for some food for my family together for early Christmas!

Just got off a 12 hour night shift, with 2 hours of sleep as of right now and decided to swing by Smart & Final here on Katella in Orange. I had my 2 kids with me on this trip, and in my current state I failed to notice that the self checkout lane I was using was 10 or less items only. A worker named Lorelei spoke roughly and condescendingly to me twice during checkout, once to tell me to move my cart out of the way, and secondly to scold me over using the self checkout lane when I had more than 10 items. Her tone and attitude and angry face was enough to scare my two small children and make me feel extremely uncomfortable and even threatened. I spoke to her manager, a lovely woman named Ivana (not sure if I spelled that right) and I was assured Lorelei would be spoken to. I love coming to this Smart and Final so it’s a shame people like Lorelei have to ruin a good thing.
